
On November 2 of the current year, in the hotel “Holiday Inn” the Association organized event under the name – Construction in Georgia – Quality as a challenge.
Under the auspices of the Infrastructure Construction Companies’ Association, during the first half of the event the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze and the heads of the sub-structures of the Ministry met with the representatives of the construction sector.
The meeting was attended by the members of the association and other large construction companies.
Meeting between the construction and the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is systematically held under the auspices of the Association, which has been implemented as the best practices of cooperation between private and public sectors.
At the meeting behind the closed door, the representatives of the Ministry talked about infrastructure projects planned for the next 4 years, introduced the representatives of the construction sector to the nearest plans and listened to their problems and promised their support for improving the situation.
After the meeting, during the second part, the speeches aobut the main topic were given by – the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Zurab Alavidze; Accreditation Director General, Paata Gogolidze; a special guest from the International Confederation of Inspection and Certification Organisations (CEOC) General Secretary Mr. Druvin Niuvinhas, EU cooperation the Department (of the EU Delegation to Georgia), Vincent Rey and community college “Spectri” director, Mate Takidze. Also the Chairman of the newly established the Association of Accredited Persons of Inspection of Construction, Dimitri Mkheidze presented the association and its goald and pans in fterm of construction field in Georgia. The Infrastructure Construction Companies’ Association, also presented its new members: “Arali”, “Kubiki” and “Elit Motors”.
