On 29-30 June 2017, in the hotel “Holiday Inn”, FIDIC and Georgian Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEG) conducted FIDIC business days. The topic of the event was “Georgia’s Infrastructure with FIDIC Knowledge”. FIDIC Business Days is FIDICs first official event in Georgia. In the framework of this event presentations, of the Georgian Association of Consulting Engineers (ACEG) and FIDIC 1999 Construction Contract (Red Book) official Georgian translation, were held. Participants of this event were world-famous and local speakers of different fields, who shared their knowledge and experience to the attendees. One of the presenters at the event was a Corporate Director of board member company of Infrastructure Construction Companies’ Association, JSC “SAKENERGOREMONTI”, Levan Dvali, with the topic – Contractor’s perspective for building infrastructure in Georgia. Also presenting were: The President of Georgian Association of Consulting Engineers, Daduna Kokhreidze; Managing Director of FIDIC, Enrico Vink; Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia / Director of Municipal Development Fund, Gagi Buadze; Deputy Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia, Nugzar Gasviani, United Airports Director, Ketevan Aleksidze and others with the topics: The role and place of consulting engineers in FIDIC contracts in infrastructural projects. International and Georgian experience. And the use of FIDIC standard forms in infrastructural projects; roads, manners, risks.
