The Executive Director of ICCA, Irakli Giorgobiani, attended an important meeting with government representatives on September 15. The meeting, which was led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, discussed existing challenges in the implementation of infrastructure projects.
The main issue discussed at the meeting was the challenges in project implementation, including the possible abolition of the so-called “White List,” on which Mr. Irakli presented the Association’s position. In his assessment, the complete abolition of the list would create a significant liquidity crisis in the sector. Therefore, instead of its complete cancellation, the list should be modified and reformed to allow companies time to adapt.
According to the Executive Director of the Association, this initiative will contribute to the stability of the construction sector and allow companies to better cope with existing challenges.
