On November 17, ICCA, with the support of the USAID Economic Governance Program, held a workshop
on the issues of construction cost estimates in public procurement and indexation in construction
projects.
Research was presented at the event, which included the best European practices in the direction of
cost estimation and indexation in construction projects. German experts Ulrich Paetzold and Michael
Holriggle from the Association’s partner organization BAUVERBÄNDE NRW e.V. worked on these issues,
they discussed online the best European practices in the direction of indexation and cost estimation.
Ana Sabakhtarishvili, Executive Director of ICCA and Zviad Toidze, General Director of INSI, Chairperson
company of the Board, Gegi Kelbakiani, General Director of the Board Member Company REFORMA,
representatives of member companies of the Association reviewed the challenges facing the sector to
the mentioned issue. An active discussion was kicked off. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy,
State Procurement Agency, Parliament of Georgia, and other state structures attended the event.
The event ran as part of an ongoing project “Support for the Development and Adoption of Construction
Cost Estimates and Price Adjustment Regulations” supported by the USAID Economic Governance
Program.
