
From November 26 to December 2, the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) along with the German Artisans Chamber and the Central Union of German Construction Workers, organized
informative cognitive tour in Berlin: “Building Safety and Construction Dual Vocational Education”. The German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) invited the Infrastructure Construction Companies’ Association and its member companies to participate in the above-mentioned tour. Representatives of various private and public structures from Georgia, from the Association were joined by: “NCC” founder, Gegi Kelbakiani, Director of L & L, Besarion Marshania, Head of Technical Department of “Spechydromsheni”, Zaza Kopaleishvili, Head of Labor Safety Service Davit Chachanidze and the executive director of the association, Ana Sabakhtarishvili. Under the program, participants visited the vocational school and gymnasium, Science and Technology Center in Leipzig, Berlin palace of safety standards in the practical examples, conducted informational meetings with the artisan ward, the German central union construction crafts and In the International Education Center, met with the Head of the Construction Department of the Swedish City Hall, etc.
The informational cognitive tour was quite interesting and informative, the director and the members of the Association got acquainted with the useful practices in Germany; the Georgian and German sides agreed to deepen relations and collaborate on the introduction of Dual Vocational Education in Georgia by presenting the German practices.
