The Association’s member companies stimulate the reinforcement of the construction sector with qualified staff through various activities, including through participation in or implementation of vocational education projects.
Cooperation in the field of vocational education between the Association’s member company “Anagi” and college “New Wave” is one of the successful examples. In 2018 college “New Wave” and Construction Company “Anagi” signed a memorandum of cooperation which served as a basis for the implementation of a dual educational program “Welding”. The company selected 9 vocational students who took the theory course at the college and continued their practical studies at the company’s base located at a stadium construction site, where they participated in thewelding works for the stadium and were remunerated accordingly (within the framework of the dual program).
With support from the GIZ, interim exams were held in 2019 and final exams in 2020. The exams were held at “Anagi” base and the vocational students were assessed by the relevant commission. 9 vocational students, graduated from the program, were eventually employed by “Anagi” as welders. In the same year another form of collaboration was established between the college and the company – “Vocational Education and Training” program implemented through a work-based learning system. For fall 2020 admissions the company once again selected 11 vocational students for the dual “Welding” program. As of today, 45 “New Wave” graduates in various fields have been employed by “Anagi” after graduation.
