On September 28, under the joint project of ICCA and the Georgian-American University, being
implemented in partnership with the Spanish Confederation of Employers’ Organizations (CEOE),
educational programs were showcased.
Zviad Toidze, the general director of the company INSI, the chairperson of the board of the Association,
David Blood, the head of the USAID Industry-Led Skills Development Program, Nata Bajiashvili, the dean
of the engineering and informatics school of the Georgian-American University, Miguel Kambas, the
Spanish expert of the industry, the project partner, and Tamar Samkharadze, Deputy General Director of
the Professional Skills Agency, addressed the meeting audience.
The next part of the event featured a panel discussion on the skills shortage in the construction sector
and ways to address it; Marita Arabidze, the head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and
Renewable Energy Policy and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable
Development, Nino Tabatadze, chief specialist at the Environmental Information and Education Center
of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia and the representatives of the member
companies of the Association: Eka Tateshvili, the deputy general director of the ARALI company, and
Giorgi Nikolishvili, the project manager of the ENERGON company participated in the event.
The authors of the course showcased the presentations of the programs: construction – Givi Dolidze,
production of Works – Ana Gogberashvili, and Environmental Systems – Salome Berechikidze.
Admission to the programs will be announced soon and a special quota will be provided for women and
youth.
