Its duly certified staff has 15+ years of international experience in the sector. SafCo is a licensed provider of international organization IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety &amp; Health). The company offers its partners a wide variety of occupational safety services so that they can meet the requirements envisaged under the state\u2019s laws, improve safety culture in their companies and adhere to the<br>internationally approved standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The seminar will be focused on introducing participants to the Waste Management Code and providing them with information about the requirements that the waste management regulations impose on legal entities and individuals for sustainable management of their activities. The seminar will also address the role of waste in the economic models of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one-day seminar will have two parts: the first half of the seminar will shortly review the history of waste; the main focus will be on the hierarchy of waste management and its significance; existing and sustainable models of doing business will be discussed; the trainer will weigh in on the role of circular economy and on waste as a resource.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second part of the seminar will be dedicated to the recently enacted legislative requirements introduced in the waste management sector \u2013 Waste Management Code and other legal documents imposing certain obligations on enterprises. The trainer will thoroughly discuss the requirements set forth by the code so that the participants of the seminar will be able to manage their activities in accordance with the national legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seminar objectives:<br>To provide participants with knowledge of the Georgian Waste Management Code and of the<br>requirements of other related legal documents; introduce them to the hierarchy of waste<br>management; impart knowledge on circular economy and waste as a resource; influence<br>participants\u2019 understanding and acceptance of responsible approaches to natural and social<br>environment and of the principles of sustainable consumption; assist the participants in forming a<br>responsible approach to natural and social environment.<br>Seminar impacts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the seminar the participants will have a knowledge about the Georgian legislative framework<br>enacted in the sector of waste management; they will be able to plan and carry out their activities in<br>conformity with the legal requirements; the participants will be able to plan and implement their<br>projects in accordance with the waste management requirements and social responsibility principles;<br>the seminar will help its participants in saving resources during the project planning, implementation<br>and management stages, in consideration of the waste management hierarchy.<br>The seminar will be interesting for middle and senior managers in the private sector whose<br>responsibilities include the management of environmental protection and social issues; considering<br>that the course does not require a specific knowledge in the field, all stakeholders are welcome to<br>apply.<br>The participants will be awarded certificates of attendance.<br>If you are interested, please confirm your participation by filling out this form no later than October 8.<br>Date and time: October 10, 2020. 10:30-17:30 (a total of 6 contact hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venue: 13B Ljubljana Street, ICCA conference hall.<br>Participation fee: the fee of the course is GEL 140; ICCA will cover the full cost of the training for its<br>members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trainer: Lika Kvitsinashvili<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Field of expertise: Master of Environmental Management; Master of Conflict Analysis and<br>Management.
